| # 1 |
Tee Pad - To the west of the Human
and Social Development Building there is a small parking lot with
a ‘round about'. To the left of the fire hydrant there is
a painted parking line. The right hand side of this line, and
to the left of the small tree is the tee box. You must throw from
before the grass.
The Hole – Straight ahead is the main path followed by
field and a wall of trees, the hole is past those trees, up the
hill and on the left side of the Sedgewick building. The hole
is the 1-foot wide tree 15 feet past the knobby tree besides the
building |
| #2 |
| Tee Pad – From hole #2, backtrack
down the sidewalk until you get to the crosswalk. From there the
tee pad is the path in line with the lamppost. You can see a patch
in the pavement, which makes a good line.
The Hole – This is basically straight ahead, over the parking
lot with the ‘round about’ (from tee pad 1). Just
past the parking lot there is a lamppost that has been taped off.
The hole is the pole between those strips of tape. |
| #3 |
Tee Pad – Towards Ring Rd from
the hole for #2, but before the sidewalk is a 6’ by 6’
section of pathway. If you stand on this pad, facing the same
direction as traffic, the bench should be behind you to the right
and there will be a tree in front of you to the left.
The Hole – Straight ahead and to the left
is the parking lot for the MacLaurin building, and to the right,
near the road, is a large Arbutus that is shape like a large ‘V’.
Across the access to get into the parking lot and to the left
of the tree is a lamppost (this is taped off). That pole is Hole
#3. |
| #4 |
Tee Pad – Across
the street from Hole #3 is an island with a large tree on it.
The tee pad is on the south end of the island (closest to the
exit road from that parking lot) and halfway between the road
and parking lot.
The Hole – Between the two large trees and
about 150 feet away is a large Cedar (on the right), the hole
is a 2-foot diameter tree behind the cedar and to the right and
on the same side of the path as the cedar. Just farther to the
right are the Gardens, which are out of bounds. |
| #5 |
Tee Pad – From
Hole #4 walk down the path to Ring Rd. (it’s only 50’).
There you will see a signpost. The tee pad is between that post
and the bush, but before the sidewalk.
The Hole – Straight-ahead, before the path
is a slanted Arbutus. Past that tree and to the right is a tree,
which has branches that start about 5-feet up. The tree is about
10” thick. That tree is Hole #5. All roads here are out
of bounds as is the garden across the street. |
| #6 |
Tee Pad – From
Hole #5 Walk parallel to University Drive until you get to the
path running perpendicular to University Drive. There will be
a large tree (it’s about 40 feet from the road) on the other
side of the path; you must throw between that tree and the Rhododendrons
to the left from behind the path. You should be able to see where
the ground is a bit beat up.
The Hole - The fairway is filled with many small
trees bordered by Rhododendrons on the left and gardens on the
right (both of which are out of bounds), forward and to the right
is a Hawthorn tree. The End of the fairway has a burm, followed
by path, followed by brambles (inbounds); the hole is to the left
of the brambles and stumps. Currently there is a large tree, cut
down, that is lying in front of a small diameter (10”) oak
that has a small red-orange tag on it about 6-8 feet up. That
tree is the Hole. |
| #7 |
Tee Pad – Walk
back up the sidewalk towards campus, along University Drive. Just
less than half way bay down towards the hole 6 tee you will see
a worn dirt patch between two tall trees (elms?), this is tee
pad #7.
The Hole – From the tee pad, if you look directly
across the road, then 45 degrees to the right, you will see 2
paths. One runs perpendicular to the road, the other runs at an
angle to the access road from Cedar Hills Cross Rd. At the end
of that path, on the right hand side of it, is a tree (1 foot
diameter) which bumps out on the bottom right side) which is the
Hole. All bushes etc. are out of bounds except for the wild bushes
on the far side (in relation to the tee) of the angled path. The
rocky island on the other side of the access road is in bounds,
if you choose to go that route. |
| #8 |
Tee Pad – From
hole #7, go back on the path towards tee pad #7 for about 40 feet.
On the right is a fairly beat up large, leaning Arbutus. To the
right of this tree is a dirt patch, which is the tee pad.
The Hole – From the tee pad you will see a
path cutting across from the road, and beyond it a few Arbutus
trees. The Hole is 10 feet closer than those Arbutus but about
15-20 to the right. It is past the garden on the right, which
is blocking your view. All bushes are out of bounds except for
the ones directly behind the hole. The Hole is the large evergreen,
which has branches starting about 3’ off the ground. You
must hit the tree on the trunk above the root line, which has
a clear difference is appearance. |
| #9 |
Tee Pad – From
hole #8 walk towards the Arbutus, and through the gap between
the garden and the large Cedar. In the Area between the cedar
and the road, you should see a slight bump or burm in the ground;
the tee pad is before the top of that bump. You should be able
to see sign of wear.
The Hole – Throwing in the direction of University
Drive, and across Ring Road, you will see 3 trees closely grouped
together in front of some wild growth. The tree farthest back
on the right is the Hole. The bushes behind the hole are in bounds,
except on the far left 50 feet away where it is gardens. |
| #10 |
Tee Pad – If you
are standing at hole #9 with your left side to Ring Road there
will be a tree 15’ or so in front of you and another to
the left of that one 20 feet away towards the road. The tee is
in the middle between these two trees.
The Hole – Facing against the direction of
traffic from Ring Road you will see a path crossing in front of
you 70 feet away, followed by a garden with a huge tree. Behind
that there is a clearing with a dead tree. It has been chopped
and looks like a hand. That tree is the target. All bush etc.
around it is out of bounds, and watch out for the pond in the
garden to the right. |
| #11 |
Tee Pad – Continuing
past the hand you will find a bare patch where the sidewalk meets
the garden path. This patch is beside a very tall cedar and across
the street from tee#5. That’s the tee.
The Hole – Throwing dog leg left back in the
direction you came from (towards the path that crosses hole #10)
there is a lone tree in the field, not the evergreen behind it
though. This tree has a branch that hangs down in front of the
trunk and is hole #11. |
| #12 |
Tee Pad- Facing the direction
of the MacLaurin building (Ring Road to your back) the tee box
is to the right of the tree that is hole #11. Within 6’
of the tree is the usual distance to the side, but not ahead of
the tree.
The Hole – The garden to the left is out of
bounds but the trees to the right are in bounds. The Hole is past
the two trees in front of you (maybe 300 feet past that), farther
than the rounded bike shelter. Near the rounded bike shelter is
a bench with a concrete garbage can (tee#13) and about 30-40 feet
ahead of that and to the right is the lamppost, which is taped
off. That post is on the corner of the grass and is hole#12. |
| #13 |
Tee Pad – The bench
with the concrete garbage near the chopped Arbutus. If you are
facing the pyramid with the bench in front of you, the tee pad
is the concrete square behind the right hand side of the bench.
The Hole – The hole is 200 feet or so ahead
and to the right. If you follow the stairs to the right of the
pyramid, they end up meeting the grass. At that grass is a taped
off lamppost. Hole #13 is that post. |
| #14 |
Tee Pad – The top
of the pyramid is the tee pad
The Hole – There is a path on the right heading
towards the library from off the right side of the pyramid. There
is a line of lampposts starting near the pyramid. The second one
(near the Totems) is taped, if you follow the line of posts, down
to the right of a fire hydrant, the 4th post is taped as well.
That fourth post is the hole. |
| #15 |
Tee Pad – Looking
towards the library, there is a fire hydrant about 10 feet away
from hole #14. When facing the library, the tee pad is to the
left and before the hydrant.
The Hole – Standing beside the hydrant, look
straight ahead towards the single totem pole. Follow the path
running parallel to your line of sight, count three lampposts
and you will see a lamppost with three lights, on a grassy corner.
This is hole #15. On this hole it is mandatory to throw to the
left of the totem and the first tree after it. If your disc crosses
to the right before that tree, or hits the totem consider it out
of bounds. (this is to aid in preventing hitting the totem pole) |
| #16 |
Tee Pad – As seen
from the hole for #15, face towards the fountain. About 20 feet
ahead of you is a solitary bench. On the grass behing that bench
is the tee pad.
The Hole – Face towards the pyramid, 60 feet
to the right of the pyramid is a square-ish metal statue. The
hole (600 feet away) is the last lamppost located 15 feet right
and back of the square-ish metal statue at the corner of the grass. |
| #17 |
Tee Pad – 15 feet
away from the hole for #16 is a bench near a corner of grass.
If you face the pyramid, the tee pad is with that corner of grass
in front of you, and hole #16 to your left, that square of concrete
is the tee.
The Hole – Throwing past the pyramid towards
the tee pad for #13, you will see benches farther away and to
the left. Near the corner benches, on the grass to the left, is
a taped lamppost. That post is hole #17. |
| #18 |
Tee Pad– Just
beside hole #17 is a corner bench. Standing at the bench, look
down the path to the parking lot. The tee pad is the square of
concrete that is in line with the end of the bench to your left.
The Hole - Standing at the tee pad, look down
the path to the parking lot. Directly at the end of the sidewalk
(before the ramp to the MacLaurin building) is a lamppost on the
right. (It is also in line with the beginning of the parking lot
which is out of bounds) This lamp is on the corner of the grass
and is taped. That post is hole #18. |
